How to Enjoy Your Lakeside Retreat

Whether you’re setting the mood with some music, adjusting the lights for a relaxing evening, or planning a day out exploring local attractions, everything you need to know is right here. Let’s make your stay at The Lakeside House as comfortable and delightful as possible!

Amazon Alexa

Experience seamless interaction with our smart home devices via Amazon Alexa, situated on the fireplace mantel. For instance, to light up the evening, simply say, "Alexa, turn on the deck lights," and watch the back deck illuminate.

Lights:

  • "Alexa, turn on deck lights"

  • "Alexa, turn off deck lights"

Note: The main entrance light is equipped with a motion sensor and will automatically illuminate or turn off as needed.

Music:

We hope you enjoy your stay. To enhance your experience, we’ve set up an Amazon Echo Dot to provide some great music. Here’s how to use it:

    • How to Play Music:

    • Play Specific Artist:

    • To listen to only Billy Joel music, just say:

    • “Alexa, play Billy Joel.”

    •  

    • Play a Mix of Artists:

    • To enjoy Billy Joel along with similar artists, say:

    • “Alexa, play Billy Joel station.”

Volume Controls:

  • "Alexa, set volume on Lakeside 1 to 55%."

  • "Alexa, set volume on Lakeside 1 to 25%."

  • "Alexa, stop."

Weather:

  • "Alexa, what is the weather?"

  • "Alexa, what is the weather for the next 7 days?"

Door Security:

For the Lakeside Facing Doors: Please ensure all three lakeside facing doors are secured before leaving.

Front Door Locking Procedure:

  1. After closing the door, press the icon on the keypad to engage the lock manually.

  2. Note: The front door features an automatic lock which will activate 10 minutes after the door has been unlocked manually or via the keypad. This ensures your security and convenience during your stay.

Hot Tub:

Opening the Hot Tub Cover:

Our hot tub is equipped with a standard hard cover that includes foldable sections for easy handling. Here’s how to open it:

  1. Unclip the Clasps: Start by unclipping the two clasps located on the front side near the deck stairs and the two clasps on the backside of the hot tub.

  2. Lift the Front Section: Gently lift the front half of the cover upward. As you lift, it will fold along the central bar. Continue lifting until this section rests on the second half.

  3. Remove the Cover: With both hands, grasp the central bar and lift the entire cover upwards. Continue to lift until the cover stands upright at the back of the hot tub.

These steps will help you access the hot tub safely and easily, ensuring your comfort and enjoyment during your stay at The Lakeside House

To operate the hot tub controls, start by activating the touch screen:

  1. Activate Display: Touch the touch screen to wake up the display.

  2. Unlock the Screen: Slide the indicated symbol over the top of the other symbol to unlock the control screen.

Operating the Jets and Lights:

  • Activate High Jets: Press the designated button twice to turn on the high jets for a vigorous water flow.

  • Turn on the Lights: Press the designated button once to illuminate the hot tub, creating a perfect ambiance for relaxation.

These instructions ensure you can fully enjoy the hot tub features with ease during your stay at The Lakeside House.
